Landscape Photography by Mark Littlejohn

Landscape Photography by Mark Littlejohn

Mark Littlejohn is a rapidly aging Scotsman living on the edge of the English Lake District. He took up photography purely as a means of recording his various hikes around the area. He soon discovered that he loved taking pictures. Even worse, he discovered that he loved getting up early and watching the sun rise over the Lakes. Walking and climbing for miles before dawn is a necessity on some occasions. Trees feature heavily in his dawn images (and in particular the way they integrate with their surroundings) although trying to capture the mood and atmosphere of misty mornings is probably his favourite pastime.
I have had two images commended in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year competition in 2011, a third place in the International Photography Awards 2012. Also in 2012 Pentax displayed a number of my images at the Salon de la Photo exhibition in Paris. I have also work published in a variety of national magazines and newspapers.
