Hi friends, today in this Photoshop tutorial we will design a glossy progress bar. You can come across many beautiful, glossy, classic, trendy, colourful progress bars, seek bars all over the internet. I always had this insane attachment towards creating such kind of progress bars. Here is one such, simple glossy progress bar for you all. I have explained each and every step in detail, so that you don’t get lost. Fine’ now let’s move on to the tutorial.

Step-1 Open a new document with width of 600 pixels and height of 450 pixels.

Step-2 From the tools palette pick the rounded rectangle tool at the top of the menu tab, set the pixels amount to 10. Now, draw a horizontal shape with the colour code # a52ade as you see below. Name this layer as NOISY.

Step-3 Now go to filter menu>Noise>Add noise and the noise amount to 10 %. Make sure that you have ticked the Gaussian and Monochromatic option below.

Step-4 Now double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style effects. Here i have used DROP SHADOW and INNER GLOW effect.

Step-5 Here in this step we will create a reflective shade upon the NOISY layer, to do that, duplicate the NOISY layer, right click on the duplicated layer and select the option clear layer styles, once it is done, CTRL+ click on this layer to make a selection around the layer, now fill the selection with colour white. this is how the image will look.

Step-6 Pick the marquee tool from the tools palette and cut the white coloured object into half. Look at the image below. Once done set the opacity of this layer to 37%.

Step-7 Now again pick up the rounded rectangle tool with same values as before and draw a horizontal shape as you see below. Let the fill colour of this shape be # 484949.

Step-8 Now we shall apply some layer style effect to this shape. To do that double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style effects. Here i have used INNER SHADOW and STROKE effects.

Step-9 Again in this step we will create another horizontal shape, pick the rounded rectangle tool,with the same values as previous draw the shape with colour code # fd06fa as you see below.

Step-10 Now double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style effects. here i have used INNER SHADOW effect.

Step-11 In this final step we will create a progress time button. From the tools palette select the custom shape tool, and at the top of the menu tab select the speak bubble shape, and draw a small shape at the top. Now double click on this shape layer and add some layer style effect. Here i have used only DROP SHADOW effect.
